Your cat's paws also have scent glands that leave their own special scent on their territory. The scratching furniture at home becomes your cat’s own space which she often returns to. It is important for your cat to have their own space in the house.

However, please be aware that most kittens don’t react to catnip until they are about 5-6 months of age.
